Job description

General Practitioner (Dokter Umum) will provide comprehensive medical care and clinical expertise across multiple high-acuity departments, including the Emergency Room (ER), Inpatient Department (IPD), Intensive Cardiac Care Unit (ICCU), General Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), and Medical Checkup Unit (MCU).

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment to patients presenting to the Emergency Room and across inpatient departments
• Monitor and manage patients in intensive care settings (ICU, ICCU, PICU, NICU) in collaboration with specialist teams, ensuring continuous clinical observation and timely intervention
• Conduct thorough clinical examinations and develop appropriate management plans based on patient presentations and clinical findings
• Prescribe medications and therapeutic interventions according to clinical protocols and best practice guidelines
• Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and prognosis in a compassionate and professional manner
• Document medical records accurately and comprehensively, maintaining compliance with hospital documentation standards and regulations
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, including specialist doctors, nurses, and allied health professionals, to ensure coordinated and holistic patient care
• Respond promptly to clinical emergencies and acute deteriorations in patient conditions across assigned departments
• Participate in clinical rounds, case discussions, and continuing professional development activities to maintain and enhance clinical knowledge and skills
• Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, infection control measures, and patient safety protocols
• Support the training and mentoring of junior medical staff and students as required

What we're looking for

• Medical degree (Dokter Umum) from a recognized and accredited medical school, with valid licensure and registration with the appropriate medical regulatory body
• Proven clinical experience as a General Practitioner, with substantial experience in emergency medicine and intensive care settings
• Demonstrated competency in acute patient assessment, stabilization, and emergency management
• Strong knowledge of clinical protocols, evidence-based practice, and current medical guidelines relevant to emergency and critical care
• Excellent clinical decision-making abilities and the capacity to work effectively under pressure in complex and dynamic clinical environments
• Proficiency in basic and intermediate life support procedures, including cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and airway management
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with patients, families, colleagues, and members of the multidisciplinary team
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of professional conduct, ethics, and patient-centred care
• Fluency in Indonesian and English languages, both spoken and written
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including evenings, nights, and weekends, as required by emergency and intensive care department operations
• Flexibility and adaptability to work across multiple specialized departments and care settings
• Certification in Advanced Life Support (ALS) or equivalent advanced clinical training is highly desirable
