Job summary

Sulzer is seeking a Sr. Production Technician to join our precision workshop. You will assemble, test, and inspect gas turbine components, performing abrasive blasting and shot peening while ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

This role involves independent work on complex tasks, mentoring junior technicians, and supporting cross-functional workshop activities to maintain efficient production flow. A strong safety focus and ability to interpret technical drawings are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in abrasive blasting and shot peening for gas turbine component repair.
• Experience in chemical stripping processes is an advantage.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and repair procedures.
• Strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and support cross-functional workshop activities.
• Valid forklift and overhead crane operation certification is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Perform chemical stripping, grit blasting, and shot peening operations on gas turbine components.
• Support other workshop activities, including fixture inspection, component assembly/disassembly, material handling, and loading/unloading tasks.
• Follow repair procedures, work instructions, and quality requirements to ensure compliance with established standards.

Job Summary

The Sr. Production Technician is responsible for assembling, testing, and inspecting manufactured goods to ensure they meet quality and safety standards. This role works independently on complex tasks, supports troubleshooting, and may guide junior technicians.
