Job summary

Sulzer is seeking an experienced SR. Production Technician to assemble, test, and inspect gas turbine components, ensuring quality and safety standards are met. The role involves working independently on complex tasks, with guidance for junior technicians as needed.

The position is designed for experienced support-level staff who can operate autonomously and follow procedures while seeking continuous improvement in a dynamic workshop environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in abrasive blasting and shot peening for gas turbine components.
• Chemical stripping experience is a plus.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and repair procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform chemical stripping, grit blasting, and shot peening operations on gas turbine components.
• Support other workshop activities, including fixture inspection, component assembly/disassembly, material handling, and loading/unloading tasks.
• Follow repair procedures, work instructions, and quality requirements to ensure compliance with established standards.
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment in accordance with company safety policies.

About The Role

Job Summary

The SR. Production Technician is responsible for assembling, testing, and inspecting manufactured goods to ensure they meet quality and safety standards. This role works independently on complex tasks, supports troubleshooting, and may guide junior technicians.

This job profile is intended for experienced support-level staff that generally works autonomously and only requires closer supervision in non-routine situations.

Required Skills And Qualifications

• Strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and support cross-functional workshop activities.
• Valid forklift and overhead crane operation certification is an advantage
