Job summary

English Academy Center in Bogor is seeking an experienced English teacher to deliver high-quality lessons to a diverse range of learners, from young beginners to adults.

You will plan engaging lessons, assess progress, maintain records, and mentor freelance teachers while fostering a positive learning environment. A Bachelor's degree and strong English skills are required; TOEFL/IELTS is a plus, and offline teaching at the center is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in English, Education, or a related field.
• Experience in teaching English, preferably for young learners (3-18 years old).
• TOEFL/IELTS certification is a plus.
• Able to mentor and support fellow teachers.
• Good English communication (verbal and written).
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Willing to teach offline at English Academy Center.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons to students, up to 25 teaching hours per week.
• Develop engaging and interactive lesson plans for all levels.
• Utilize varied teaching techniques and materials to facilitate learning.
• Provide constructive feedback and monitor student progress.
• Assess and report on student progress regularly.
• Maintain accurate attendance and performance records.
• Prepare tests and assessments, and ensure schedules are followed.
• Mentor freelance teachers and observe classes to provide improvement guidance.
• Ensure adherence to English Academy's standards and policies.

Job description

• Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons to students ranging from young learners to adults. Maximum 25 teaching hours per week.
• Develop engaging and interactive lesson plans that cater to the needs and proficiency levels of students.
• Utilize a variety of teaching techniques and materials to facilitate learning and encourage student participation.
• Provide constructive feedback and support to students to help them achieve their learning goals.
• Assess and monitor students' progress, providing regular reports and updates.

Class Administration:

• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and performance.
• Prepare and administer tests, quizzes, and other assessment tools.
• Collaborate with administrative staff to ensure smooth operation of classes and adherence to schedules.
• Handle classroom management, ensuring a positive and conducive learning environment.
• Mentor and support freelance teachers, providing guidance on lesson planning, classroom management, and teaching techniques.
• Conduct regular observations of freelance teachers' classes, offering feedback and actionable advice to improve their teaching performance.
• Ensure freelance teachers adhere to English Academy's teaching standards and policies.
