Job summary

PT Anugrah Lumei Raya is seeking a Fragrance Evaluator who is highly organized with a keen sense of smell to bridge our laboratory and sales teams. You will evaluate fragrance performance, manage the fragrance library, prepare perfume samples, and support customers in discovering fragrances.

You should have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree. Strong olfactory skills, English documentation ability, and good administrative capabilities are essential for this role in Jakarta.

• Must have sharp, objective sense of smell and ability to describe aromas clearly.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and recommend perfume aromas per briefing (Market, Character, Target Market).
• Test fragrances on product applications to assess stability and performance.
• Maintain, manage, and update the fragrance sample collection and archive; monitor stock.
• Identify top, middle, base notes and the character of raw material perfume.
• Understand perfume stability and interaction with base products (EDT, EDP, etc).

Job description

PT Anugrah Lumei Raya is seeking a Fragrance Evaluator who is organised and possesses good sensory sensitivity to bridge operations between our laboratory team and sales team. In this important role, you will be responsible for evaluating fragrance performance, controlling our entire fragrance collection/library, preparing perfume samples, and managing the smooth process of discovering fragrances desired by customers/clients.

Key responsibilities

Conduct evaluation and recommendation of perfume aromas in accordance with the briefing provided (Market, Character, Target Market)

Test and evaluate fragrances on various product applications (for example: soap, lotion, candles) to assess stability and performance accurately

Maintain, manage, and update the sample collection and reference archive to keep it well-organised, and monitor stock levels and quality strictly

Identify and differentiate top, middle, base notes and the character of raw material perfume (natural and synthetic)

Understand perfume stability (heat, light, aging) and perfume interaction with base product (EDT, EDP, body care, and others)

About you

Minimum education level S1; experience in Perfume/Fragrance House operations will be an added value

Must have sharp and objective sense of smell, and ability to describe aromas (olfactory notes) clearly

Possess sensitivity and consistency in smell and good sensory and organoleptic testing ability

Able to operate basic computer and have English language capability for documentation needs and coordination

Must be highly organised with strong administrative capability
