Job summary

Mercure Jakarta Gatot Subroto is seeking an F&B Greeter to welcome guests and support seating at restaurant and outlets. You will coordinate reservations, assist with information, and collaborate with service teams to ensure a smooth dining experience.

You will maintain grooming and hospitality standards, greet guests warmly, handle walk-ins, update reservations, and help with special requests while upholding SOPs and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and greet all guests in a warm, friendly, and professional manner upon arrival.
• Create a positive first impression by maintaining grooming, body language, and hospitality standards.
• Confirm reservations and assist guests with seating arrangements according to outlet procedures.
• Escort guests to their tables and present menus in a professional manner.
• Manage walk-in guests and maintain an accurate waiting list during busy periods.
• Provide guests with information about restaurant concepts, menus, promotions, operating hours, and facilities.
• Handle guest requests, preferences, special occasions, and seating requirements whenever possible.
• Coordinate closely with Waiters, Supervisors, Restaurant Managers, and other departments to ensure smooth guest flow.
• Communicate VIP guests, regular guests, special requests, and important guest information to the service team.
• Monitor table availability and coordinate seating to ensure efficient use of restaurant capacity.
• Answer telephone calls, respond to basic inquiries, and assist with reservation requests professionally.
• Maintain accurate reservation records and update table status as required.
• Assist guests with special needs and provide appropriate support when required.
• Monitor the entrance and reception area to ensure it remains clean, organized, and presentable.
• Assist with menu presentation, table arrangements, and other front-of-house preparations as required.
• Handle guest feedback and complaints politely and refer issues to the appropriate supervisor or manager when necessary.
• Promote a professional and welcoming atmosphere throughout the outlet.
• Follow hotel and restaurant policies, SOPs, grooming standards, and service standards.
• Maintain confidentiality of guest information and handle guest details responsibly.
• Assist the F&B team with other operational duties during busy periods or as assigned by management.
