Job summary

PT HUANENG NEW MATERIAL is seeking a Fire Safety Officer to monitor fire control equipment, respond to emergencies, and conduct safety inspections at the Halmahera Island facility. The role requires AK3U and Class D firefighter certificates, Indonesian K3L certification or equivalent, and at least 1 year in fire safety-related work.

Proficiency with office software and Indonesian standards is expected. Position involves 24-hour duty with 12-hour shifts, on-site in North Maluku, Indonesia, within

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher in safety, environmental or chemical engineering preferred.
• AK3U certificate required.
• Class D firefighter certificate required.
• Indonesia K3L or international system certification experience preferred.
• Familiar with office software (MS Office, etc.) and Indonesian security standards.

Responsibilities

• Monitor state in service of fire control equipment (fire alarms, extinguishing systems).
• Respond to fire emergencies and execute emergency plan with evacuation and police coordination.
• Inspect exits and facilities to ensure integrity and safety, report rectifications as needed.
• Maintain 24-hour duty records and detailed operation logs of equipment and alarms.
• Collaborate with Health, Safety and Environment team to identify and mitigate fire risks.

Equipmentmonitorandoperation:Monitorthestateinserviceoffirecontrolequipment(suchasfirealarmsystem,automaticfireextinguishingsystem),anddealwiththeabnormalsituationintime.Beskilledinoperatingfirefightingfacilities,maintainingandrecordingregularmaintenance.

Fireemergencyresponse:Uponreceivingthealarm,quicklyconfirmthefire,initiatetheemergencyplan,notifytheevacuationandcallthepolice.Jointlyactivatefirepumps,smokepreventionandotherequipmenttoassistinfirerescue.

Safetyinspectionandhazardinvestigation:inspectfireexitsandfacilities(extinguishers,firehydrants)toensuretheirintegrityandsafety.Whenahazardisdiscovered,promptlynotifytherectificationandfollowup.

Hoursofdutyandrecords:24hoursofduty(12hoursShiftWork),andcommunicationshallbemaintained.Keepdetailedrecordsofequipmentoperation,alarmdisposal,etc.
