Job summary

Shangri-La Residences Jakarta is seeking a Fire Life Safety Coordinator (Residences) to support daily operations and maintenance of the property’s fire and life safety systems.

Reporting to the Safety Manager, you will assist in ensuring compliance with local safety regulations and internal protocols, while supporting initiatives to maintain a safe and secure environment for tenants, colleagues, and vendors.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken).
• Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or Fire Safety preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in hotel engineering, facilities management, fire safety, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspection, monitoring, and basic maintenance of fire safety systems, including alarms, sprinklers, and emergency lighting.
• Ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation of inspections, incidents, drills, and contractor activities.
• Conduct safety training for colleagues.
• Coordinate with the Security Department in emergency drills.
• Assist in coordinating third-party inspections, testing, and servicing.
• Participate in tenant and contractor safety briefings as needed.
• Monitor and report irregularities or system issues to Safety Manager, Chief Engineer and FLS Headquarters.
• Uphold a proactive safety culture across the property.
