Job summary

Shangri-La Residences Jakarta is hiring a Fire Life Safety Coordinator to support daily operations and maintain safety systems. You will report to the Safety Manager and help ensure compliance with local regulations while safeguarding tenants, staff, and vendors.

Responsibilities include inspecting fire safety systems, maintaining records, conducting safety trainings, coordinating drills with security, and liaising with contractors. Indonesian citizens only; English proficiency required.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or Fire Safety preferred.
• Excellent communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspection, monitoring, and basic maintenance of fire safety systems (alarms, sprinklers, emergency lighting).
• Ensure accurate documentation of inspections, incidents, drills, and contractor activities.
• Conduct safety training for colleagues.
• Coordinate with Security for emergency drills.
• Assist in coordinating third-party inspections and servicing.
• Participate in tenant and contractor safety briefings.
• Monitor and report irregularities to Safety Manager and Chief Engineer.
• Uphold a proactive safety culture across the property.

Reporting directly to Safety Manager, you will assist in ensuring compliance with local safety regulations and internal protocols, while supporting initiatives to maintain a safe and secure environment for tenants, colleagues, and vendors.

As Fire Life Safety Coordinator, it will play a key role in supporting the daily operations and upkeep of the property’s fire and life safety systems. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspection, monitoring, and basic maintenance of fire safety systems, including alarms, sprinklers, and emergency lighting.
• Ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation of inspections, incidents, drills, and contractor activities.
• Conducting safety training for colleagues.
• Coordinating with the Security Department in the preparation and conduct of emergency drills.
• Assist in coordinating third-party inspections, testing, and servicing.
• Participate in tenant and contractor safety briefings as needed.
• Monitor and report any irregularities or system issues to Safety Manager, Chief Engineer and FLS Headquarters.
• Uphold a proactive safety culture across the property.

Requirements

Only Indonesian Citizens (WNI) will be considered, due to work pass restrictions.

Excellent communication skills in English (both written and spoken).

Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or Fire Safety preferred.

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in hotel engineering, facilities management, fire safety, or related field.

Working knowledge of fire life safety systems, inspection, testing and maintenance (water base system, fire alarm system, fire protecting system, etc.).

Must have at least one license or certification to perform fire safety engineering (i.e Fire Safety Manager certification).

Computer literacy and proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications.

Strong attention to detail, with a collaborative and service-oriented mindset.

Willing to work shifts and flexible hours, including weekends or public holidays if necessary.
