Eezee, a fast-growing Singaporean B2B company, is seeking a Finance Assistant Manager in Batam, Indonesia. You will oversee day-to-day finance operations, govern the RTR cycle, and ensure accurate financial reporting. This role leads a finance team and prepares to grow into a Finance Manager.

You will report to the Finance Manager/CFO and collaborate with multiple departments, while ensuring compliance with local regulations. The role is on-site in Batam.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of finance operations experience in a trading company.
• At least 1 year of leadership experience managing people.
• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy.
• Willing to be based in Batam, Indonesia — this is an on-site role.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounts payable and receivable; review invoices, payments, and collections.
• Maintain the Record-to-Report cycle with accurate classifications and reconciliations.
• Monitor cash flow and manage working capital requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and internal controls.
• Prepare, analyse, and present timely financial reports and statements.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and internal policies.
• Coordinate payroll processing with HR in line with rules.
• Coordinate with auditors, tax agents, banks, and other stakeholders.
• Supervise, guide, and develop junior finance team members.
• Assist Finance Manager with strategic projects and ad-hoc tasks.

Job Overview

The Finance Assistant Manager oversees and governs Eezee's day-to-day finance operations. This role holds accountability for the quality, accuracy, and timeliness of the work produced by the finance team. The Finance Assistant Manager reviews, checks, and approves outputs at every stage of the Record-to-Report cycle, ensuring financial integrity is maintained from transaction level through to reporting. This is a supervisory role for someone who leads through oversight, builds team capability, and is ready to grow into a full Finance Manager.

This role is based in Batam, Riau Islands, Indonesia (on-site).

Job Interactions & Interface

This role interacts with internal staff: Business Development, Category Management, Inside Sales, Sourcing, Operations Management, Management.

This role reports to: Finance Manager / CFO.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the team's execution of financial operations including accounts payable and receivable — review and approve invoices, payments, and collection activities
• Maintain the Record-to-Report (RTR) cycle, ensuring every financial transaction is accurately captured, classified, and reconciled to protect the integrity of the company's financial statements
• Monitor cash flow and manage working capital requirements
• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and internal controls
• Prepare, analyse, and present timely and accurate financial reports and statements
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, accounting standards, and internal policies
• Coordinate with the HR department for payroll processing in compliance with statutory requirements and internal policies
• Coordinate and liaise with auditors, tax agents, banks, and other stakeholders
• Supervise, guide, and develop junior finance team members
• Assist the Finance Manager with strategic financial projects and ad-hoc tasks

What We're Looking For (Must-Have)

• At least 3 years of finance operations experience within a trading company, with a strong background in bookkeeping and day-to-day finance operations in a trading business
• At least 1 year of leadership experience directly managing people
• A Bachelor's degree in Accountancy (or a closely related accounting discipline)
• Willing to be based in Batam, Riau Islands, Indonesia — this is an on-site role

Nice To Have

• Able to start immediately or on short notice
• Experience supervising a finance team through a full month-end and year-end close
• Familiarity with Indonesian statutory and tax compliance requirements
