Job summary

Kaleka is a hands-on finance leader overseeing daily operations, monthly closes, donor reporting, and budgeting for a nonprofit organization focused on transforming Indonesian finance for regional bioeconomies.

The role requires a minimum of 5 years in finance and accounting, Big 4 audit experience, and strong English communication. Hybrid Jakarta/Bogor presence with a dedicated finance team awaits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in finance and accounting.
• Experience as an auditor at a Public Accounting Firm (KAP) is required.
• Experience at supervisor level or above, or demonstrated experience leading a finance/accounting team.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of accounting, financial closing, financial reporting, reconciliation, budgeting, taxation, and audit.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to review financial information and identify issues independently.
• Good organizational, communication, and English-language skills.
• Experience in a non-profit organization, donor-funded projects, or subgrant management (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day finance and accounting operations, ensuring transactions are accurately and timely recorded.
• Lead monthly, quarterly and year-end financial closing, reconciliation, and preparation of organizational financial statements.
• Coordinate and review project / donor financial reporting, ensuring compliance with donor requirements and internal policies.
• Lead the annual budgeting process, budget monitoring, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Oversee tax compliance, statutory reporting, and coordination with tax consultants where required.
• Coordinate internal / external audits, including preparation of supporting documents and follow-up on audit findings.
• Oversee subgrant financial management, including financial review, monitoring, and compliance of subgrantees.
• Supervise and develop the Finance & Accounting team and strengthen internal controls, financial procedures, and reporting processes.
