Job summary

Ampd Energy is seeking a field engineer/technician to provide technical support and repair services for our suite of BESS products. The role is based remotely in Jakarta, Indonesia, with travel across Indonesia as needed.

You will diagnose issues, communicate with clients, and coordinate with internal teams to resolve problems and maintain spare parts inventory. The position reports to the Service Engineering Manager (based in Hong Kong) and requires flexibility for after-hours site visits and

Qualifications

• Trained as an electrical technician and/or electrician, preferably with renewable energy systems.
• Experience working around high-power equipment.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical systems and diagnosing faults.
• Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and manuals.
• Good command of written and spoken English, especially with customers.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote and on-site technical support to customers.
• Install and commission BESS products at customer sites.
• Train distributors and contractors on servicing and usage.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose product issues to root cause.
• Document test and service reports, create knowledge base articles, and log tickets.
• Analyze data on product reliability, usability, and performance.
• Provide feedback to engineering and sales teams to improve future products.
