Job summary

The Field Assistant will support day-to-day nursery and planting activities in Pematang Rahim, Jambi, collaborating closely with local communities and field workers to ensure tasks follow technical plans and schedules. This field-based role also serves as a communication link between the community, field team, and project management.

Regular coordination, clear progress reporting, and constructive collaboration with community members are essential throughout the implementation process.

Qualifications

• Minimum education bachelor’s degree in forestry, agriculture, or related field.
• Fresh graduates are strongly encouraged to apply; internship or work experience in the field is a plus.
• Candidates must have personal work devices (laptop and smartphone) to support smooth communication, reporting, and daily operations.
• Proactive, responsive, and clear communication skills to support remote operational coordination.
• Competent in performing basic administrative tasks, data collection, monitoring activity progress, and reporting using Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
• Able to adapt to field conditions, mobile at program sites, and possess strong problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise nursery and planting activities from site prep to maintenance.
• Record daily field schedules and monitor progress.
• Act as primary contact between field team and project management.
• Monitor seedling production and planting to meet technical targets.
• Record field data and report obstacles to management.
• Support procurement, allocation, and inventory management for nursery activities.
