Job summary

Wahana Visi Indonesia (WVI) is seeking a Project Officer to coordinate the RISE project at the community level, mobilizing communities, and supporting partners in implementing contingency plans and disaster resilience activities.

The role emphasizes capacity building, collaboration with village governments and schools, safeguarding, and inclusion, with a focus on sustainable livelihood and financial literacy initiatives in target communities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; other fields considered.
• Proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia required; local languages preferred.
• English proficiency an added advantage.
• Strong facilitation and interpersonal skills to build relationships with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day planning and implementation of the RISE project at community level.
• Serve as primary community mobilizer; provide technical assistance to groups and partners.
• Engage with village governments and schools to strengthen DESTANA and SPAB and disaster preparedness.
• Lead capacity-building activities on disaster resilience, food security, livelihoods, and financial literacy.
• Support safeguarding, gender inclusion, and community engagement in all activities.
• Contribute to monthly/quarterly project planning, monitoring, and reporting.
