Job summary

Save the Children is seeking a Field Case Worker in Aswan, Egypt to conduct Best Interest Assessments and manage cases of Sudanese children, while facilitating psychosocial and information sessions. The role focuses on delivering protection services, coordinating with local communities, and maintaining strong safeguarding practices on the project.

The position requires 1–2 years in humanitarian work related to child protection, Arabic and English proficiency, and willingness to work in field

Qualifications

• Education: Psychology, Sociology, Development, Political Science, related studies or relevant work experience.
• 1 to 2 years of experience in the development/humanitarian field with a focus on child protection.

Responsibilities

• Conduct best interest assessment interviews and draft relevant reports to assess the children’s needs.
• Follow-up and monitor on individual cases of unaccompanied minors and children at risk within Aswan.
• Ensure case management aligns with Save the Children’s policies and donor requirements.
• Develop monthly project activities and the monthly plan for children.
• Develop monthly reports on caseload.
• Ensure activities respect child safeguarding policies.
• Facilitate orientation sessions, workshops, follow up visits and other activities for the project.
• Co-facilitate psychosocial support sessions with other teams.
• Support program teams as needed.
