Job summary

PT BDX Data Center Indonesia operates BDx data centre facilities in Jakarta with 24x7 coverage to meet service levels for hyperscalers and enterprises. The role leads facilities technicians, coordinates 12-hour shift rotations, and ensures safe, reliable operation of electrical and mechanical systems.

The project engineer duties include new/additional works, vendor supervision, and routine maintenance, while supporting ISO audits and inventory control across sites.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in operation and <br/>maintenance of 24x7 mission critical facilities.
• Strong communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage facilities technicians to operate and maintain data centre facilities 24x7.
• Oversee projects for additions & alterations for customers.
• Manage contractors and vendors for operation, maintenance and repair of facilities.
• Respond to emergencies and restore service levels promptly.
• Develop and review operation and maintenance procedures with internal teams and vendors.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead and manage facilities technicians to operate and maintain mission critical facilities of data centres on 24x7 basis to achieve service level requirements and specifications.
• Project engineer of addition & alternation works of new and existing customers.
• Manage contractors and vendors in operation, maintenance and repair of mission critical facilities.
• Respond to emergencies and lead the facilities technicians and service vendors to resume availability and service levels of the data centres.
• Develop, review and revise operation & maintenance requirements, procedures and programmes with internal parties and service vendors. Evaluate vendor performance and report to manager.
• Participate in ISO certifications and audits.
• Maintain and update accurate inventories of facilities, apparatus and tools.
• Lead and train technicians to follow and comply with standard operating procedures, escalation procedures, incident & change procedures.
• Assist reporting manager in administration of the facilities team.
• Work in Shifting model (6 days duty - 2 days off) disregarding public holiday, 8 hours per Day.

Qualification and Experience

• Degree / Higher Diploma graduates in Building Services/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• 3 years or above experience in operation and maintenance of 24x7 mission critical facilities
• Good team player, strong project management, communication, presentation and problem-solving skills.
