Sentausa Group is seeking a skilled Equipment Control (EC) to join our team. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in ensuring the readiness, reliability, performance, and safety of our grinding, polishing, vacuum, and related equipment. As an Equipment Control, you will be responsible for maintaining equipment, troubleshooting technical issues, conducting equipment inspections and trials, and providing technical support to project teams and clients, directly contributing to the quality, efficiency, and continuity of our operations.
Key responsibilities
Monitor and maintain grinding, polishing, vacuum and related equipment to ensure safe, reliable and efficient operation
Perform routine equipment inspections, preventive maintenance, testing and PDI to ensure machine readiness
Diagnose equipment faults and malfunctions across electrical, mechanical, tooling and operating systems, implementing appropriate corrective measures
Troubleshoot single-phase and three-phase electrical systems, motors, control systems and inverter/VFD equipment
Conduct technical trials and equipment performance evaluations, documenting findings and recommended improvements
Provide technical support, consultation and training to clients, project teams and internal stakeholders
Respond to equipment-related issues and customer complaints, ensuring timely resolution, verification and follow-up
Maintain detailed records of equipment condition, maintenance, repairs, trials, performance and technical issues
Ensure equipment activities comply with K3 requirements, technical standards and company policies, while supporting continuous improvement in quality, cost and equipment reliability
What we're looking for
A recognised Diploma (D3) or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or a related technical discipline
Proven experience working with industrial equipment, electrical systems, machine maintenance or technical support, preferably involving grinding, polishing or construction equipment
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, motors, basic electronics, control systems and inverter/VFD
Proven experience troubleshooting single-phase and three-phase electrical systems
Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical diagrams, technical manuals and equipment documentation
Sound understanding of preventive maintenance, equipment inspection, troubleshooting and root-cause analysis
Excellent problem-solving, analytical and critical-thinking abilities, with a practical approach to technical issues
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with clients, project teams and cross-functional stakeholders
High level of discipline, accountability, integrity and safety awareness
Willingness to travel and work at project or customer sites; a valid SIM A/C would be advantageous
