Job summary

Indonesia Weda Bay Industrial Park (IWIP) seeks an Environmental Permitting and Compliance Lead to manage the full lifecycle of permits, OSS reporting, and daily regulatory interpretation for site operations.

The role includes wastewater/air/HSE oversight, cradle-to-grave waste management, risk prevention, staff training, and active participation in ISO 14001 audits and external regulatory liaison. FIFO roster, on-site accommodations, and comprehensive health support are provided.

Qualifications

• Hold a fulltime bachelor's degree or higher in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline.
• Bring at least 3 years of manufacturing environmental management experience (preferably in metallurgy, chemicals, pulp/paper, or power), with a strong preference for hands-on Indonesian factory exposure and involvement in new build/expansion Three Simultaneities projects.
• Possess mandatory Ahli K3 Muda Lingkungan Kerja and Limbah B3 certifications, deep knowledge of Indonesia's PP No. 5/2021 regulatory framework, ISO 14001 knowledge (auditor cert a plus), and strong data analysis using standard office software.
• Demonstrate fluency in Chinese and English (written/spoken) with basic Bahasa Indonesia preferred, plus cross-cultural communication, problem-solving, resilience, and a principled balance of strict compliance with production efficiency.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Willing to work at a remote site with a roster system.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the full lifecycle of plant environmental permits (AMDAL, UKL, UPL, SPPL) and manage OSS for applications and annual compliance reporting.
• Monitor wastewater, air emissions, and hazardous waste controls; ensure cradle-to-grave waste tracking and regulatory compliance.
• Identify environmental risks and implement prevention measures; lead emergency response planning and incident reporting to authorities.
• Coordinate training for Indonesian staff and liaison with community and NGO inquiries/complaints; support ISO 14001 audits.
• Support EIA processes for new construction and major modifications, enforcing the Three Simultaneities principle.
