Keywords Studios Plc. is actively seeking an experienced Environment Artist to join their team in Malaysia or Indonesia. This permanent, full-time position involves creating high-quality environment art and collaborating with various teams to develop visually impressive worlds for an exciting new AAA project.

The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in the industry and a strong portfolio showcasing relevant skills. Remote work is possible, but applicants must have the appropriate working rights for Malaysia or Indonesia.

Keywords Studios Asia is currently looking to expand its team. We’re currently looking for AAA, experienced Environment Artists. These opportunities can be located in either Malaysia, or Indonesia (Remote). This is a permanent, full time position.

Keywords Studios is a global leader providing art services to AAA Publishers. Our work can be seen across many of the top selling titles on console and PC. We’ve secured an exciting AAA IP project and anticipating further project announcements early in 2026. You’ll get to work alongside seasoned developers bringing expertise from world class AAA studios.

At Keywords Studios we are looking for an accomplished, enthusiastic and self‑motivated Environment Artist to join our team working on an exciting, new and unannounced project.

What you will do:

• Create high‑quality environment art
• Build, iterate, and optimises environments that support gameplay, narrative, and artistic direction.
• Collaborate closely with art direction, level design, and tech art to build performant and visually impressive worlds
• Good understanding of modular and kit based approaches to environment art
• Troubleshoots issues related to performance, consistency, or technical constraints across platforms.
• Contributes to visual benchmarks and helps establish best practices for environment art workflows.
• Has a good understanding of textures and materials and how to optimally create and apply them across an environment

What you will need to be considered:

• Proven experience as an Environment Artist (5+ years) on a shipped AAA or high‑quality game project.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating environment art fundamentals and processes
• Proficiency with modern game engines (Unreal, Unity or proprietary engines).
• Lighting experience, has general understanding of lighting workflows (baking, performance impacts)
• Experience with PBR workflows and optimization for real‑time environments.
• Ability to work collaboratively across disciplines and iterate quickly based on feedback.
• Experience profiling/debugging, or scripting for workflow automation.
• You must be have the appropriate working rights to live and work in Malaysia, Indonesia. Sponsorship is not being offered.
