PT Deltamas Solusindo is seeking an HVAC Engineer & Drafter to perform system design, calculations, and detailed drawings. You will develop HVAC layouts for split systems, VRF/VRF, AHU, FCU, and piping plans.
You will prepare shop and as-built drawings in AutoCAD, size ducts, and lay out refrigerant and chilled water piping, ensuring compliance with project specs and applicable standards. The candidate should have a Diploma or BSc in Mechanical Engineering and 2–3 years' HVAC drafting
The HVAC Engineer & Drafter is responsible for performing HVAC system engineering, technical calculations, design development, and preparation of detailed engineering drawings. This role combines HVAC engineering expertise with drafting capabilities to ensure that HVAC systems are properly designed, accurately documented, and aligned with project specifications, applicable standards, and site requirements. The ideal candidate must be capable of independently handling HVAC design calculations, equipment selection, ducting and piping layouts, shop drawings, and as-built drawings while coordinating with other engineering disciplines and project teams.
Key responsibilities
Perform HVAC system design and engineering calculations, including cooling load, airflow, ventilation, and equipment capacity calculations.
Design and develop HVAC systems, including split AC, VRV/VRF, AHU, FCU, chiller, exhaust, and fresh air systems.
Prepare HVAC layouts, design drawings, shop drawings, and as-built drawings using AutoCAD.
Perform duct sizing calculations, including airflow distribution, duct dimensions, and pressure drop considerations.
Perform HVAC piping design, including refrigerant piping and chilled water piping layouts.
Select HVAC equipment, materials, and accessories based on technical requirements and project specifications.
Prepare technical documentation, material specifications, Bill of Quantities (BOQ), and Material Take-Off (MTO).
Coordinate HVAC designs with other MEP disciplines, including electrical, plumbing, fire protection, architectural, and structural teams.
Review engineering drawings and ensure compliance with applicable standards, project requirements, and installation conditions.
Provide technical support and engineering solutions to resolve design issues and site installation challenges.
About you
Diploma (D3) or Bachelor's Degree (S1) in Mechanical Engineering, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineering, or a related discipline.
Minimum 2–3 years of experience in HVAC engineering and drafting, preferably in MEP contracting, construction, or building services projects.
Proficient in AutoCAD 2D for HVAC design and technical drawing preparation.
Good understanding of HVAC system design, cooling load calculations, airflow calculations, and ventilation requirements.
Knowledge of HVAC equipment selection and specifications, including AC units, AHU, FCU, chillers, cooling towers, and ventilation fans.
Experienced in ductwork design, duct sizing, and HVAC piping layout.
Able to prepare HVAC design drawings, shop drawings, installation details, and as-built drawings independently.
Familiar with HVAC installation methods, materials, and applicable engineering standards.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel for engineering calculations and technical documentation.
Knowledge of HAP, Revit MEP, Duct Sizer, or other HVAC design software is an advantage.
