Job summary

App Group is seeking an Engineering & Maintenance Manager to lead all engineering and maintenance activities during commissioning and start-up of the OKI 3 Paper Mill.

This role ensures the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, automation, hydraulic, and utility systems while establishing maintenance strategies to support a successful transition to commercial operation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 10–15 years of engineering/maintenance experience in heavy process industries.
• Minimum 5 years in a managerial or leadership role.
• Experience in plant commissioning and start-up is highly preferred.
• Experience with CMMS (SAP PM or Maximo) and reliability programs.
• Strong leadership, planning, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Good command of English (written and spoken).
• Contract-based during project phase with potential permanent role later.
• Willing to be placed in OKI, South Sumatra.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering and maintenance activities during commissioning and start-up.

• Develop and implement preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs.
• Ensure systems are commissioned, tested, and handed over per specs and OEMs.
• Establish maintenance procedures, CMMS, and spare parts strategies.
• Monitor equipment reliability using KPIs and lead RCFA.
• Coordinate maintenance planning, troubleshooting, and technical support.
• Ensure compliance with HSE standards, PTW, LOTO, and environmental regulations.
• Manage budgets, contractors, and maintenance resources.
• Drive continuous improvement to enhance reliability and performance.

Job description

Engineering & Maintenance Manager is responsible for leading all engineering and maintenance activities during the commissioning and start-up of the OKI 3 Paper Mill. This role ensures the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, automation, hydraulic, and utility systems while establishing maintenance strategies and reliability programs to support a successful transition to commercial operation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead engineering and maintenance activities throughout commissioning and start-up.
• Manage multidisciplinary teams covering mechanical, electrical, automation, instrumentation, and utilities.
• Develop and implement preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs.
• Ensure plant systems are commissioned, tested, and handed over in accordance with project specifications and OEM requirements.
• Establish maintenance procedures, CMMS, equipment hierarchy, and spare parts strategies.
• Monitor equipment reliability through KPIs such as availability, MTBF, and MTTR, and lead root cause failure analysis (RCFA).
• Coordinate maintenance planning, troubleshooting, and technical support during commissioning.
• Ensure compliance with HSE standards, Permit to Work (PTW), Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO), and environmental regulations.
• Manage maintenance budgets, contractors, and maintenance resources effectively.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and operational performance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 10-15 years of engineering and maintenance experience in pulp & paper or other heavy process industries.
• Minimum 5 years in a managerial or leadership role.
• Experience in plant commissioning and start-up is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, automation, hydraulic, and utility systems.
• Experience with CMMS (e.g., SAP PM, Maximo, or equivalent).
• Strong leadership, planning, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.
• A contract-based during project phase, with a high chance of permanent during operation & maintenance phase.
• Willing to be placed in OKI, South Sumatra.
