Qualifications

• Diploma (D3) or Bachelor’s Degree (S1) in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or Coating Technology.
• 1 to 4 years of experience in surface finishing, electroplating, or electro-coating (E-coat) processes.
• Fresh graduates with strong academic project experience in electrochemistry are welcome to apply.
• Basic knowledge of electrochemistry and chemical laboratory testing techniques.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor automated or semi-automated electro-coating equipment.
• Perform regular testing and titration of chemical baths to maintain pH, conductivity, temperature, and solids.
• Inspect coated parts for defects and ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Perform routine maintenance on rectification equipment, ultrafiltration systems, and baking ovens.
• Identify and resolve minor process deviations or coating defects under guidance of senior engineers.
• Maintain a clean work environment and follow chemical handling and safety protocols.

We are seeking a Junior to Mid-Level Electro Coating Technician to join our manufacturing team in Batam, Indonesia. In this role, you will be responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining our electro-coating (E-coat) lines to ensure high-quality surface finishing. This is an excellent opportunity for a chemistry or coating graduate looking to grow their technical expertise in an industrial environment.

Key responsibilities

Operate, and monitor automated or semi-automated electro-coating equipment

Perform regular testing and titration of chemical baths to maintain proper pH, conductivity, temperature, and solid percentages

Inspect coated parts for defects (e.g., pinholes, runs, uneven thickness) and ensure adherence to quality standards

Perform routine maintenance on rectification equipment, ultrafiltration systems, and baking ovens

Identify and resolve minor process deviations or coating defects under the guidance of senior engineers

Maintain a clean work environment and strictly follow chemical handling and safety protocols

About you

Diploma (D3) or Bachelor's Degree (S1) in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or Coating Technology

1 to 4 years of experience in surface finishing, electroplating, or electro-coating (E-coat) processes

Fresh graduates with strong academic project experience in electrochemistry are welcome to apply

Basic knowledge of electrochemistry and chemical laboratory testing techniques

Familiarity with measuring tools like DFT (Dry Film Thickness) gauges and gloss meters

Ability to read and interpret technical process sheets

Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia; Mandarin will be a plus

Must be residing in Batam or willing to relocate to Batam
