About the role

The Sr. Electrical, Instrumentation & Automation Engineer manages the operation and reliability of all electrical, instrumentation, and automation aspects of the factory. The primary goal is to ensure all equipment meets expected output and performance levels. The engineer actively participates in continuous improvement activities, contributes to plant KPIs, and leads engineering projects.

• Job Location: Karawang, Indonesia
• Reporting to: Engineering and Maintenance Manager

Key responsibilities

• Implement procedures related to Environment, Health, Safety (EHS), and Food Safety & Quality (FSQ) policies in all operational activities to ensure safety and compliance with food safety standards.
• Ensure the reliability of all plant equipment, especially EIA equipment, through planning, inspection, and maintenance, adhering to safety and quality standards.
• Lead site energy reduction initiatives by identifying improvement opportunities and executing them.
• Regularly inspect EIA equipment to meet current safety standards and legislative requirements.
• Control resource expenditure within the approved budget and provide early indications of variances to assist in forecasting.
• Manage site contractors to ensure safe working practices and adherence to scope and timelines.
• Improve equipment EIA performance in reliability, downtime, and quality issues, supporting continuous operational efficiency improvements.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to maximize machine utilization and minimize breakdowns.
• Ensure maintenance staff are trained, equipped, and motivated to perform their duties safely, timely, and cost-effectively.
• Lead Green Team initiatives to promote environmentally friendly practices.

Qualifications and skills

• Degree or diploma in Electrical / Automation Engineering from a recognized institution.
• Over 5 years of experience in electrical, instrumentation, and automation roles.
• Experience in the food industry is advantageous.
• Experience with Allen Bradley / Rockwell Automation systems.
• Project execution experience.
• Participation in continuous improvement projects.
• Experience with SAP system is a plus.
