Job summary

PT Starway Engineering Indonesia is seeking an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation QC Inspector to lead quality control inspections for an Oil & Gas / Petrochemical / EPC project in Papua. The role focuses on verification of electrical and instrumentation works, materials, drawings, and ITPs, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a related engineering field, 7+ years E&I inspection experience, and credentials

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Instrumentation, Telecommunication Engineering or related field
• Minimum 7 years of relevant E&I/T inspection experience
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Oil & Gas / Petrochemical / EPC projects
• Strong knowledge of IEC, IEEE, NFPA/NEC, ISA, IEC 60079 and project specifications
• Experienced in electrical installation inspection: cable trays/conduits, cable pulling & termination, grounding, lighting, switchgear/MCC, transformers, motors, UPS, batteries
• Experienced in instrumentation installation, calibration, tubing, loop checks and functional testing
• Able to read SLDs, wiring/loop drawings, cable schedules, hook-ups and datasheets
• Familiar with ITP, RFI, MIR, NCR, test packs, red-lines and inspection records
• Valid E&I/Electrical/Instrumentation QC Inspector certification
• CompEx / IECEx or equivalent hazardous-area certification

Responsibilities

• Perform QC inspection of electrical and instrumentation works

• Inspect cable trays, cable pulling, termination, grounding and electrical equipment
• Inspect instrument installation, calibration, tubing and loop checks
• Witness electrical and instrument testing

• Raise and follow up RFI/MIR/NCR/punch items
• Verify corrective actions
• Coordinate with Construction, Engineering, Commissioning, QA/QC and subcontractors
• Maintain inspection records

Key responsibilities

About you
