Job summary

PT Marcopolo Shipyard is seeking a knowledgeable Electrical Engineer to join our Batam team. You will oversee, design, and maintain marine electrical systems on vessels, ensuring compliance with Classification Society rules and shipyard safety standards.

Responsibilities include managing shipboard electrical systems, creating engineering drawings in AutoCAD, and preparing technical reports and data analyses using Microsoft Office. Strong English and extensive shipyard experience are required.

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing, designing, and maintaining complex marine electrical systems on vessels, ensuring all engineering works comply with Classification Society rules and shipyard safety standards.

What you'll be doing (Responsibilities):

Manage and oversee marine electrical systems, including power distribution, switchboards, navigation, communication systems, and Kongsberg Marine Systems.

Create, review, and modify engineering drawings and technical layouts using AutoCAD.

Ensure electrical installations and designs comply with Classification Society Rules.

What we're looking for (Qualifications):

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Naval Architecture.

Minimum 5 years of experience in shipyard or marine industry.

Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in marine electrical systems, including power distribution, switchboards, navigation, communication systems, and Kongsberg Marine Systems.

Familiar with Classification Society Rules, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office.

Good command of English (written and spoken).

Strong analytical skills, able to work under pressure, and a good team player.
