Job summary

Mercure Jakarta Gatot Subroto is seeking a Duty Manager to oversee daily hotel operations during assigned shifts, ensuring service quality, safety, and guest satisfaction. You will coordinate Front Office, Housekeeping, F&B, Engineering and Security while leading teams and maintaining brand standards.

The role requires 2–3 years in hotel operations, a hospitality degree, and strong English communication. Flexibility for night/weekend shifts is essential for excellence in guest service.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in hotel operations, Front Office or supervisory role.
• Experience in an international hotel chain is an advantage.
• Strong English communication skills.
• Ability to handle guest issues, emergencies and challenging situations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate hotel operations during the assigned shift.
• Act as management representative on duty and ensure departments operate to standard.
• Conduct regular inspections of public areas for cleanliness, safety, and service quality.
• Monitor arrivals, VIP guests, group movements and special requests.
• Ensure coordination between Front Office, Housekeeping, F&B, Engineering, Security and other departments.
• Maintain proper shift handovers and communicate issues to the next Duty Manager.
• Provide leadership and support to team members on the shift.
• Ensure safety, security and emergency management during shifts.
• Assist in financial controls and monitoring of guest billing.
• Report significant issues to department heads and Hotel Management.
