Job summary

Anantara Ubud Bali Resort seeks a Duty Engineer to oversee the smooth operation, maintenance, and safety of all hotel facilities, equipment, and engineering systems, providing prompt technical support to guests and operations.

You will supervise the Engineering team during shifts, carry out preventive and corrective maintenance across electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and other systems, and coordinate with other departments to ensure timely completion of requests.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the Engineering team during the assigned shift.
• Monitor and maintain the proper operation of hotel facilities, equipment, and engineering systems.
• Respond promptly to guest room, public area, and operational maintenance requests.
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and other hotel systems.
• Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, villas, public areas, plant rooms, and other facilities.
• Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns and take immediate corrective action to minimize disruption to hotel operations.
• Monitor critical equipment, utilities, and plant operations, including generators, pumps, air-conditioning systems, and other major equipment.
• Ensure all work orders, maintenance activities, and shift handovers are properly recorded and followed up.
• Ensure compliance with hotel safety, fire and life safety, environmental, and engineering standards.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely completion of maintenance requests.
• Assist in monitoring energy consumption and identifying opportunities for energy conservation.
• Maintain proper control of engineering tools, equipment, spare parts, and materials.
• Guide, coach, and support Engineering team members to maintain high standards of performance.
• Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Chief Engineer or Management.
