Job summary

Nabors Industries is seeking an experienced Driller for our Indonesian operations in the Tangerang area. The role involves safe drilling on the rig floor, overseeing rig up/down, and coordinating with the Rig Manager to hit safety, production, and budget targets.

The Driller will monitor equipment such as pumps and draw works, perform routine maintenance, and ensure compliance with safety procedures. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience on drilling rigs across various roles (Floorhand, Motorhand, Derrickhand) or at least 1 year as a Driller.
• Strong knowledge of Floorhand, Motorhand, and Derrickhand positions.
• Ability to wear respiratory protective devices.
• Reliable transportation to and from the rig.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate problems, pre plan and implement corrective action to meet safety, production and budget goals.
• Ensure safety of the drill crew and all support personnel.
• Oversee rig up and rig down, maintenance and housekeeping on the drill floor.
• Ensure drilling operations follow the established plan.
• Train and develop employees with the Rig Manager to meet career goals and company needs.
• Monitor progress of drilling operations and determine when to change bits while operating pumps and drill equipment.
• Operate rig controls while monitoring pressures and weights.
• Knowledge of Canrig Top Drives, accumulator units, and draw works.
• Adjust mud pumps to maintain proper circulation.
• Perform basic math functions.
• Other duties as required by the Rig Manager.
