Horizon University Indonesia is seeking a passionate and dedicated Japanese language lecturer committed to student development to join the academic team in Karawang. The selected educator will be responsible for delivering interactive and high-quality Japanese language instruction, helping students develop language proficiency, and creating a supportive learning environment that fosters academic and personal growth.
Key responsibilities
Conduct Japanese language learning activities in accordance with university curriculum and academic standards
Create interactive learning processes that encourage active student participation
Assess and evaluate student learning outcomes and provide constructive feedback
Help students develop Japanese language skills including speaking, listening, reading, and writing
Maintain academic records and administration, including attendance, grades, and student academic progress
Provide academic guidance and support to students as needed
Participate in academic meetings, curriculum development, assessment activities, and other university programs
Collaborate with fellow lecturers and academic teams to continuously improve the quality of the learning process
About you
Minimum Master's degree (S2) in Japanese Language Education, Japanese Literature, Japanese Studies, Linguistics, Education, or related field
Good proficiency in Japanese and English language
Good understanding of Japanese language, culture, and communication
Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Passion for teaching and commitment to student development
Able to work collaboratively in a dynamic and multicultural academic environment
Willing to be placed in Karawang, West Java
Teaching experience, particularly in higher education institutions, is an advantage
Japanese language proficiency equivalent to JLPT N3 or higher is an advantage
Teaching experience in Japanese language at higher education level is preferred
