Job summary

Semisoft is seeking a DevOps Engineer to support game development and live operations, automate infrastructure, and deploy pipelines. You will ensure online services are reliable, scalable, and secure while collaborating with developers and infrastructure teams to accelerate deployments and reduce downtime.

The ideal candidate has Linux expertise, CI/CD experience with GitLab/Jenkins/Bitbucket, IaC with Terraform/Ansible, cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP), and strong scripting in Bash/Python/Go.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
• Proficiency in managing cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python, or Go).
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible).
• Knowledge of networking, security best practices, and system administration.

About the Role:

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to support our game development and live operations teams, automated infrastructure and deployment pipelines. You will ensure our online services and game backend are reliable, scalable, and secure. You’ll work closely with developers and infrastructure teams to help us deploy faster, minimize downtime, and deliver seamless experiences to millions of players.

We expect you possess

• Advanced knowledge of Linux
• Experience with continuous integration/delivery implementation (Gitlab, Jenkins, Bitbucket) and DevOps practices
• Previous experience with IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible)
• Experience working in cloud environment (AWS, Azure)
• Good understanding of the core components of AWS EKS, Azure Aks, Kubernetes
• Knowledge of Docker (building images, optimization, scaling, automation, registry, clustering)
• Great problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• Good English

Additional Skills:

We would appreciate you have

• Experience with Python/Perl (or any other scripting language)
• General understanding of how API works
• Knowledge of network (firewalls, protocols and routing)

Technical Skills:

• 2+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).

• Familiarity with game engine build pipelines (Unity, Unreal).
• Understanding of backend scaling for high-traffic environments (MMOs, battle royale, etc.).
• Knowledge of CDN and latency optimization for global game delivery.
