Qualifications

• Master or bachelor’s degree in engineering (required).
• Minimum 10 years of total engineering and project management experience, with at least 5 years in a senior project management role.
• Strong leadership and business management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Experience delivering complex solutions in Process Industries (Automation, Electrical, E-house, Digital Solutions).
• Experience delivering large projects in Process Industries; Southeast Asia experience preferred.
• Knowledge of solutions bundling (Process Electrification, Large E-houses, Automation Systems, Field Instruments, Power Management).

Responsibilities

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to oversee the operational aspects of local units, encompassing the full scope of Operations, including project management and control, project engineering, manufacturing, production engineering, maintenance, procurement, quality, continuous improvement, logistics, and planning and fulfillment, or a part of that. Each day, you will be responsible for developing business action plans for the units, aligned with business area/division/product group strategy and targets. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring strict adherence within the Operations with respect to policies and required health, safety, and integrity standards.

This role is contributing to the Process Industries Division in Indonesia.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Leads the project team, establishes the project execution approach and oversees project hand-over, execution planning, and monitoring and control activities for both internal and external resources to accomplish all project goals. Coaches and provides performance feedback for project staff.
• Contributes to the continuous improvement of policies and work instructions by adopting external “best practices” and findings from lessons learned. Actively seeks both internal improvement opportunities and external project management practices with relevance to ABB and influences the organization to continuously improve project execution. Actively participates in and contributes to internal and external expert groups, e.g. project management councils and other forums.
• Leads project recovery efforts, i.e. the rapid assessment of troubled projects and their turnaround on behalf of the Local Division.

Qualifications for the role

• Master or bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited institution; Accredited qualification in Business Management is added advantage.
• Minimum 10 years of total engineering and project management experience, at least 5 years in senior project management role.
• Strong Leadership and business management skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Solid professional with proven success in delivering complex solutions in Process Industries, including, but not limited to the scope of Automation Systems, Electrical, E-house, Digital Solutions.
• Experience in delivering Large Projects in Process industries will be required.
• Experience in Pulp & Paper, Mining industry in the South East Asia will be preferred.
• Intimate knowledge of solutions bundling ( Process Electrification, Large Ehouses, Automation Systems, Filed Instruments, Power Management System, ).
