Job summary

Nava is seeking a Data Centre Field Operations Engineer to manage on-site data centre infrastructure, perform deployment and maintenance, and ensure safe, reliable operation of critical systems. The role involves hands-on troubleshooting, coordinating with engineering, network, electrical and vendor teams, and supporting incident response, maintenance planning and handover of new infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, Networking, Data Centre Engineering or related field.
• Experience in data centre operations, critical infrastructure, field engineering, commissioning or facilities operations.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Hands-on experience with critical infrastructure and technical equipment.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings, schematics and documentation.
• Experience working with contractors, vendors and OEMs.
• Strong understanding of operational safety and maintenance practices.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Comfortable working in a hands-on, fast-paced site environment.
• Strong ownership mindset and ability to respond quickly to operational issues.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day field operations and maintenance across data centre infrastructure.
• Monitor and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, cooling, networking and other critical infrastructure systems.
• Support installation, commissioning and deployment of data centre equipment and infrastructure.
• Conduct regular site inspections and ensure equipment and systems are operating within defined parameters.
• Diagnose field issues, identify root causes and coordinate timely resolution.
• Work closely with contractors, OEMs and service providers for maintenance, repairs and technical interventions.
• Support planned preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance activities.
• Maintain accurate records of equipment, incidents, maintenance activities and site changes.
• Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with safety, quality and operational procedures.
• Participate in incident response and help drive issues through to resolution.
• Coordinate with internal engineering teams to translate designs and technical requirements into successful field execution.
• Support testing, commissioning and handover of new infrastructure and systems.
• Identify recurring operational issues and recommend improvements to increase reliability and efficiency.
• Be available for on-call or shift-based support, where required.

About The Role

We are looking for a Data Centre Field Operations Engineer to support the day-to-day operations, deployment and maintenance of our data centre infrastructure. This is a hands-on role for someone who is comfortable working on-site, troubleshooting technical issues, coordinating with multiple stakeholders and ensuring that data centre systems operate safely and reliably.

You will work closely with engineering, network, electrical, mechanical, construction and vendor teams to ensure smooth execution and operations of our data centre facilities.

What We're Looking For

• Experience with DCIM/BMS/EPMS monitoring platforms.
• Knowledge of data centre standards and best practices.
• Experience working with hyperscale or large-scale data centre environments.
