Job summary

Confidential is seeking an experienced Project Manager – Data Center to lead large-scale, mission-critical projects from design through construction and commissioning. The role demands deep technical knowledge, strong stakeholder management, and a proven track record in data center initiatives within a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include end-to-end delivery, plan/budget management, risk mitigation, and coordination among clients, consultants, and vendors across Asia.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; PM certification is an advantage.
• 8–12 years of construction/project management experience.
• Proven Data Center / mission-critical / industrial project background.
• Experience managing large-scale projects (>10M USD).
• Experience across multiple Asian countries; engineering consultancy background preferred.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills; English fluency expected.

• Lead end-to-end delivery of Data Center projects (Hyperscale / Colocation / Enterprise DC).
• Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, and resources.
• Ensure delivery aligned with scope, quality, timeline, and cost objectives.

OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager – Data Center to lead and deliver large-scale mission-critical projects from design through construction and commissioning phases. The role requires strong technical background, stakeholder management skills, and proven experience in managing complex Data Center projects in fast-paced environment

Project Management

• Lead end-to-end delivery of Data Center projects (Hyperscale / Colocation / Enterprise DC)
• Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, and resources
• Ensure project delivery aligned with scope, quality, timeline, and cost objectives
• Monitor project progress and proactively identify risks and mitigation plans

Stakeholder Coordination

• Act as primary point of contact for clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams
• Manage communication across multiple stakeholders including Design, MEP, CSA, and vendors
• Facilitate project meetings, reporting, and decision-making processes

Technical Oversight

• Review and coordinate multidisciplinary design (CSA, MEP, ICT systems)
• Ensure compliance with international Data Center standards (Uptime Institute, Tier standards, TIA-942, etc.)
• Oversee site execution, testing & commissioning (T&C), and handover processes

Contract & Commercial Management

• Manage contracts (EPC/EPCM/PMC models) and ensure compliance with contractual obligations
• Track project costs and manage variations/claims
• Work closely with commercial teams on procurement and vendor management

Quality, HSE & Risk Management

• Ensure compliance with HSE regulations and company quality standards
• Implement risk management strategies throughout project lifecycle
• Drive continuous improvement and lessons learned across projects

QUALIFICATION

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical / Mechanical / Civil or equivalent)
• Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE2) is an advantage

Experience

• Minimum 8–12 years of experience in construction/project management
• Proven track record in Data Center / mission-critical / industrial projects
• Experience managing large-scale projects (typically >10M USD)
• Familiarity with international working environment and standards
• Proven experience working across multiple countries in Asia
• Background in Engineering Consultancy firms is strongly preferred
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Good command of English (both written and spoken)

Technical Competencies

• Strong knowledge of Data Center infrastructure (power, cooling, redundancy systems)
• Understanding of Tier classification and mission-critical design principles
• Experience in EPC/EPCM or consultancy environment preferred
