Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a Technician - Data Center to perform hardware setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting in a Jakarta Selatan data center. You will sweep server/storage equipment weekly, diagnose issues, and coordinate with vendors for fixes.

The role requires 2 years in a data center, CCNA/CCNP preferred, strong networking and cabling knowledge, and the ability to travel up to 25%. Fluent English and a valid driver's license are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or Equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree in IT Business or related field preferred.
• CCNA and CCNP certifications preferred.
• 2 years in an enterprise Data Center environment with strong data center practices.
• Proficiency diagnosing server hardware and Ethernet connectivity issues.
• Good data cabling and patching knowledge; RJ45 and LC/MPO experience.
• Strong organizational and communication skills; able to manage priorities.
• Fluent in English; valid driver's license; travel 0-25%.

Responsibilities

• Perform weekly sweeps of server and storage equipment; analyze ipmi-sel data and vendor logs.
• Diagnose server/storage connectivity issues and basic network transceiver/ fiber problems.
• Open and coordinate with vendor support cases (HPE, Dell, IX, etc.).
• Collaborate with ops to manage break/fix logistics and vendor escorts.
• Oversee RMA processes for components like rPDUs, switches, and modules.
• Provide hardware support for installs, moves, adds and changes; decommission IT equipment.
• Conduct regular physical inspections and maintain asset inventory accuracy.
• Update documentation for structured cabling and materials; monitor capacity (space/power/cooling).
• Follow incident/change management; submit reports on moves, changes, and requests.
