About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Data Centre Electrical Manager (Operations) to lead the operation, maintenance, and reliability of critical electrical infrastructure within our data centre environment. This role plays a key part in ensuring uninterrupted power availability, operational excellence, and compliance with industry safety standards.
- Own critical power availability, switching governance, isolation plans, electrical risk control, and resilience of live electrical infrastructure.
- Operate and improve EPMS / SCADA / metering architecture, ensuring alarm and event integration into DCIM, CAFM/CMMS, and BI dashboards.
- Maintain accurate single-line diagrams, as-builts, procedures, test records, maintenance histories, and asset criticality.
- Lead preventive and predictive maintenance for UPS, generators, switchgear, distribution systems, and batteries.
- Ensure all work is executed under approved PTW, LOTO, switching procedures, and customer impact controls.
- Support capacity planning, tenant power provisioning, breaker coordination, selective discrimination reviews, and energy analysis.
- Lead root cause analysis for electrical incidents and ensure closure of corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards for critical power environments.
- 24x7 operational accountability in a mission-critical, customer-facing environment.
- Participation in incident response, escalation, audits, and emergency exercises.
- Compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 27001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001, local law, customer controls, and company standards.
- Mandatory use of approved digital systems, including CAFM/CMMS, DCIM, BMS, EPMS, BI reporting, and controlled document repositories.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in electrical operations, maintenance, or critical facilities management.
- Strong background in data centres, critical environments, utilities, industrial facilities, or other mission-critical operations.
- Demonstrated experience leading technical teams and managing operational activities.
- Experience managing critical power systems including MV/LV distribution, UPS, generators, switchgear, protection systems, and power monitoring solutions.
- Deep understanding of electrical infrastructure and critical power systems.
- Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, incident management, and root cause analysis capabilities.
- Proven leadership and people management skills.
- Strong knowledge of electrical safety regulations, industry standards, and compliance requirements.
- Experience with commissioning support, operational acceptance, maintenance planning, and electrical system testing.
- Familiarity with DCIM, EPMS, BMS, SCADA, CMMS, or similar monitoring and asset management platforms.
- Project management, vendor management, and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
- Experience in budgeting, cost management, and resource planning.
- Excellent communication and decision-making skills.
