Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Data Center Technician to perform preventative maintenance and repairs within a data center environment. You will monitor mechanical, electrical, and environmental systems, respond to BMS alarms, and work with vendors to ensure compliance with standards.

The role requires a technical apprenticeship or equivalent with 1–2 years of related experience and the ability to work shifts. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Training in a technical discipline with apprenticeship or equivalent, 1–2 years of related experience.
• Ability to work shifts that may include weekends and holidays.
• Able to meet physical requirements and present information effectively.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and corrective repairs on data center mechanical & electrical systems.
• Monitor and ensure safe environmental conditions in the data center.
• Respond to Building Management System alarms and execute emergency repairs as needed.
• Coordinate with third-party vendors while adhering to company processes and regulations.
• Complete planned preventive maintenance and reactive maintenance on equipment.
• Record meter readings from UPS, PDU, and utilities during walkthroughs.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards and maintain maintenance logs.
