Job summary

Monroe Consulting Group Indonesia is seeking an Electrical Engineer for a world-class data center client in Jakarta. The role emphasizes on-site construction, expansion activities, and rigorous review of electrical designs, shop drawings, submittals, and method statements to ensure project conformity and standards.

You will lead power distribution, MV/LV infrastructure, UPS, generators, transformers, switchgear, PDUs, and safety compliance, coordinating with consultants, vendors, and operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in data centers or mission-critical facilities.
• Strong knowledge of MV/LV power distribution, UPS, generators, transformers, switchgear, and PDUs.
• Experience in design review, construction supervision, testing & commissioning, vendor coordination, and handover.
• Familiarity with IEC, IEEE, TIA-942, Uptime Institute, NFPA, and local regulations.
• Proficiency in reviewing drawings, SLDs, specifications, and BoQs.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; certifications like PMP or LEED are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical engineering activities for data center construction and expansion, including power distribution and critical systems.
• Review designs, shop drawings, submittals, and method statements for compliance with standards.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Monitor construction quality and timelines; resolve technical issues and ensure safety requirements.
• Witness testing and commissioning to ensure systems perform as designed before handover.
• Serve as SME for electrical systems post-completion and develop standards and SOPs.
