Job summary

Arbeit Infotech is hiring an experienced Commissioning Engineer – Electrical to support the data centre commissioning activities in West Java, Indonesia. The role focuses on LV/MV systems, switchgear, UPS, generators, and IST readiness.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s/Diploma in Electrical Engineering with at least 2 years of electrical testing and commissioning experience, preferably on data centre projects, and strong coordination and communication skills for cross-team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/Diploma degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in electrical testing & commissioning.
• Experience in Data Centre projects is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems including UPS, transformers, switchgear, ATS/STS, and distribution systems.
• Experience with testing and commissioning procedures, documentation, and troubleshooting.
• Familiar with electrical safety standards and commissioning practices.
• Strong coordination and communication skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a project team.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and execute electrical commissioning activities for data centre systems.
• Review electrical drawings, specifications, method statements, and commissioning procedures.
• Conduct testing and commissioning of LV/MV electrical systems, including switchgear, transformers, UPS, generators, ATS/STS, and related systems.
• Perform functional and performance testing of electrical equipment and systems.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, vendors, and other project teams during commissioning activities.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve electrical issues during testing and commissioning.
• Prepare and review commissioning test scripts, checklists, and reports.
• Ensure all commissioning activities comply with project specifications, safety requirements, and applicable standards.
• Monitor and document testing results, defects, and rectification works.
• Support integrated systems testing (IST) and ensure systems are ready for handover.
• Assist with the preparation of commissioning and handover documentation.
