Job summary

PT. SIGMA GLOBAL TEKNOLOGI (SIGMATECH) is seeking a Data Analyst on a contract basis based in South Tangerang, Banten. You will transform raw data into actionable insights, collect, process, and analyse complex datasets to support strategic initiatives and operational excellence.

You will work with cross-functional teams to build data models and dashboards, using SQL, Python/R and BI tools to communicate findings to stakeholders across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Mathematics, Statistics, CS, Engineering).
• Proven experience as Data Analyst or similar analytical role in tech/info sciences.
• Strong proficiency in SQL, Python or R and data visualization tools.
• Experience with Tableau, Power BI, or Google Data Studio.
• Solid understanding of statistical methods and data modelling techniques.

About the role

We are seeking a Data Analyst to join PT. SIGMA GLOBAL TEKNOLOGI (SIGMATECH) on a contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity to play a vital role in transforming raw data into actionable insights that drive business decisions across the organisation. As a Data Analyst, you will be responsible for collecting, processing, and analysing complex datasets to support strategic initiatives and operational excellence. Based in South Tangerang, Banten, this position offers the chance to work with cutting-edge data technologies and contribute meaningfully to our company's growth and success in the Science & Technology sector.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and validate data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and integrity
• Analyse large datasets using statistical methods and data visualisation tools to identify trends, patterns, and insights
• Create comprehensive reports and dashboards to communicate findings to stakeholders across all levels of the organisation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including finance, operations, and management to understand business requirements and translate them into analytical solutions
• Develop and maintain data models that support business intelligence and decision-making processes
• Perform exploratory data analysis to uncover opportunities for process improvement and cost optimisation
• Document analytical methodologies and maintain detailed records of data sources and transformation procedures
• Support ad-hoc data requests and investigations from various departments
• Monitor data quality and implement strategies to address data anomalies and inconsistencies

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field
• Proven experience working as a Data Analyst or in a similar analytical role, ideally within the technology or information sciences sector
• Strong proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages, such as SQL, Python, R, or similar
• Experience with data visualisation platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, or Google Data Studio
• Solid understanding of statistical methods and data modelling techniques
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work with ambiguous data and draw meaningful conclusions
• Strong communication abilities, capable of explaining complex analytical findings to non-technical audiences
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, particularly advanced functions and pivot tables
• Experience with database management systems and data warehousing is highly desirable
• Knowledge of business intelligence tools and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes is a plus
• Detail-oriented with exceptional organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and collaborative working environments
