Job summary

BYD Indonesia is seeking a logistics specialist to manage material shipments from planning to delivery. The role includes coordinating with internal departments, customs brokers, and Indonesian authorities to ensure accurate HS code usage and compliance with import regulations.

The candidate should have a bachelor’s degree, strong English communication, and preferably Chinese language skills. Experience in customs clearance and HS code classification is highly valued as the position involves

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or above.
• English as main working language; Chinese proficiency preferred.
• Customs clearance experience is preferred.
• Understanding of Indonesian customs, clearance processes, and document requirements.
• Good time planning and coordination to manage project progress.
• General understanding of HS codes and incoterms; manufacturing import/export experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage material shipments throughout the process.
• Coordinate delivery plans with company departments and set schedules.
• Transmit transportation material information to the customs clearance agency and gather information from internal departments.
• Check HS code classifications and consistency with company opinions; verify Indonesia import restrictions.
• Output classification opinions and restrictions to internal departments and ensure relevant documents are prepared.
• Confirm cargo shipping information and transmit all clearance data to the customs broker.
• Update shipping status daily and compile monthly delivery information for filing.

Job description

Responsibilities：

Manage material shipments throughout the process, including :

• Handle company department delivery plans (CN-ID) and requirements, and set schedule;
• Transmit the transportation material information included in the delivery plan to the customs clearance agency, and collect additional information from the company's internal departments according to the requirements of the customs broker; Check whether the HS code classification opinions provided by the customs clearance agency are reasonable; whether they are consistent with the opinions provided by the company; Confirm whether the Indonesia import restrictions provided by the customs clearance agency are completed.
• Output classification opinions and restrictions to the internal department, and confirm that department prepares relevant documents;
• Confirm the cargo shipping information and transmit all customs clearance information to the customs broker;
• Update the shipping status on daily basis, and compile monthly delivery information on monthly basis, and deliver the cleared data for filing.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor degree or above;
• Able to use English as the main working and communication language;Candidates with a proficiency in Chinese will be given preference.
• Candidates with customs clearance experience are preferred;
• Have understanding of customs affairs, and understand the customs clearance process and document requirements of the Indonesia customs;
• Have good time planning and coordination skills, and be able to manage the progress of the projects he/she is responsible for;
• Have a general understanding in HS code classification, and have experience in manufacturing import and export declaration,able to understand the incoterms; Processing trade/Vihecle industry work experience is preferred.
