We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Customer Service Executive to join our Jakarta team. The Customer Service Executive supports end-to-end container shipping operations by managing customer bookings, coordinating across internal teams and external partners, and ensuring smooth execution of export and import shipments with high service quality.
Responsibilities:
Manage and monitor end-to-end booking processes from submission to vessel departure.
Handle customer inquiries via phone and email related to bookings, schedules, rates, cargo status, and service requests.
Coordinate closely with Sales, Operations, Documentation, Trade, and overseas agents to ensure timely booking release and cargo movement.
Process and monitor firm bookings, connecting vessel requests, space protection, rollovers, and booking materialization.
Support special cargo handling (Reefer, OOG, DG), including system input, approvals, and compliance checks.
Maintain accurate booking data, forecasts, shipment monitoring, and operational reports in internal systems and SharePoint.
Proactively communicate schedule updates, delays, and service changes to customers.
Guide and educate customers on booking procedures, schedules, and cargo tracking platforms.
Assist with customer data maintenance, surcharge setup, COD charge checks, and system administration tasks as required.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.
2–4 years’ experience in customer service or operations within shipping or logistics.
Good understanding of container shipping processes, bookings, and vessel schedules.
Familiar with booking systems and MS Office.
Knowledge of export/import operations and special cargo (Reefer/OOG/DG) is an advantage.
Good command of English, both written and spoken.
Strong communication, coordination, and problem‑solving skills.
Customer‑oriented, detail‑focused, and able to work under pressure.
