PT Clio Shipping And Logistics Indonesia is seeking a Shipping Operations Clerk to manage import/export documentation, port clearance processes, and coordination for vessel port calls in Indonesia.

Shipping Operations Clerk responsible for managing import/export documentation, port clearance processes, and operational coordination for vessel port calls in Indonesia. The role involves preparing and reviewing full documentation sets, liaising with maritime authorities, shipowners and headquarters, and managing port-related financial transactions.
Key responsibilities
Prepare, review, and archive full import/export documentation for vessel port calls, including ship certificates, crew lists, manifests, and cargo lists; process cargo release and fee settlement for import voyages
Follow up on online submissions and pre-clearance for Indonesian maritime, customs, immigration, and health inspection authorities; coordinate with field staff to complete the four-agency port clearance process
Liaise with overseas shipowners, domestic HQ, and on-site field officers; synchronize vessel schedules and operational updates; submit daily English business reports
Calculate and review local port dues, agency fees, vessel supply charges, and demurrage/despatch fees; prepare invoices and maintain reconciliation records
Coordinate with local suppliers for vessel provisions, stores, and spare parts; handle internal purchase orders and maintain supply records
About you
1–2+ years of ship agency back-office experience in Indonesia; familiar with Indonesian port online declaration systems and bulk/general cargo documentation procedures
Fluent English business reading and writing; able to understand shipowner instructions and trade documents; capable of handling English correspondence and reports
Familiar with local port fee accounting; able to prepare invoices, reconcile accounts, and process expense settlements
Detail-oriented and meticulous; able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously; willing to work on a rotating schedule aligned with overseas time zones
