Job summary

PT Archi Indonesia Tbk is seeking a seasoned Cost Controller to develop and maintain cost control systems for mining and major capital projects. The role requires strong budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting skills, with experience in EPC/EPCM environments.

You will monitor budgets, review contractor claims, and coordinate with procurement and contracts to ensure cost visibility. A remote mine site roster is involved, with a contract basis tenure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Accounting, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in project cost control for mining/industrial/major capital projects.
• Experience with EPC/EPCM projects is preferred.
• Strong cost analysis, budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting skills.
• Good communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Duties

• Develop and maintain project cost control systems, procedures, and reporting structures.
• Monitor project budgets, commitments, actual expenditures, and cost forecasts.
• Track costs related to Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning (EPC/C) activities.
• Analyze budget variances and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
• Prepare monthly cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and management presentations.
• Review contractor progress claims and payment certifications.
• Support project change management and monitor the utilization of project contingency.
• Coordinate closely with Procurement and Contracts teams to ensure cost visibility and accurate cost tracking.
• Assist in preparing project financial forecasts and final cost estimates.
• Maintain cost coding structures, cost databases, and project cost reporting systems.
• Support continuous improvement of project cost control processes.
• Perform other assigned duties as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Finance, Accounting, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in project cost control, preferably within mining, industrial, mineral processing, or major capital projects.
• Experience in EPC/EPCM projects is preferred.
• Experience with ERP systems and project controls/cost management software is preferred.
• Strong skills in cost analysis, budget management, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
• Good understanding of project cost control principles and project lifecycle.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Demonstrated commitment to HSE, safety leadership, and continuous improvement.
• Willing to work at a remote mine site on a roster arrangement.
• Willing to work on a contract basis.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken, is preferred.
• Awareness of company safety and environmental standards.
