Job summary

PT Archi Indonesia Tbk is seeking a Senior Construction Manager to lead the construction team on brownfield projects within a mining operation in Indonesia. You will oversee civil, structural, mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation, and HV power works, ensuring safe, integrated execution and minimal production disruption.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Construction Engineering.
• 15+ years in construction management.
• 8+ years as Senior Construction Manager or equivalent.
• Experience in brownfield mining or gold-processing plants.
• Live-plant tie-ins, shutdown management, SIMOPS.
• Strong understanding of scheduling, cost control, and contractor management.
• Knowledge of Indonesian regulations and safety requirements.
• Fluent in English.
• Willing to work on a contract basis for project duration.
• Owner’s Project Management Team experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the entire construction team, including Construction Superintendents, Supervisors, QA/QC personnel, Field Engineers, and field support personnel.
• Oversee all construction activities, including civil, structural, mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation, and HV power works.
• Ensure safe and integrated execution of brownfield construction activities within an operating plant environment.
• Lead plant tie-in, shutdown, hot work, SIMOPS, and other activities within active plant areas while minimizing disruption to ongoing production.
• Develop and maintain the Construction Execution Plan, as well as 3-month and 6-month look-ahead schedules.
• Monitor construction progress against the baseline schedule, project budget, and overall project targets.
• Proactively identify and resolve construction bottlenecks, interface issues, resource constraints, and construction-related risks.
• Ensure consistent implementation of HSE standards, QA/QC requirements, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), and project standards.
• Manage contractors and subcontractors, including performance evaluation, claims, variation orders, and productivity management.
• Maintain close coordination with Engineering, Project Controls, Commissioning, Operations, Maintenance, Procurement, HSE, and relevant authorities.
• Maintain the Construction Risk Register and drive productivity improvement and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure timely completion of construction activities, punch-list items, as-built documentation, and handover to the Commissioning team in accordance with project targets.
• Perform other assigned duties as needed.

Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree (S1) in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in construction management.
• Minimum 8 years of experience as a Senior Construction Manager or in an equivalent construction leadership position.
• Proven experience in brownfield expansion projects within the mining, mineral processing, or gold processing plant industries.
• Strong experience in live-plant tie-ins, shutdown management, SIMOPS, and brownfield interface management.
• Strong understanding of construction execution, HSE, QA/QC, project scheduling, cost control, and contractor management.
• Good understanding of Indonesian construction regulations, safety requirements, permitting, and labor regulations.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
• Previous experience as part of an Owner’s Project Management Team on mining projects in Indonesia is highly preferred.
• Willing to work on a contract basis for the duration of the project.
• Awareness of company safety and environmental standards.
