Brief Job Description:
- Lead design and development of New Business and Claims modules across Delphi (legacy) and Java Spring Boot (new/modernized) systems
- Design and maintain integrations with external parties relevant to claims (hospitals/TPA for health claims, reinsurers, etc.) and new business (payment channels, e-KYC, document management)
- Oversee SSIS jobs for claim data batch processing, underwriting data feeds, and reporting extracts
- Ensure Crystal Report outputs (policy documents, claim letters, underwriting reports) are accurate and compliant with business/regulatory format
- Lead a team of developers handling both legacy maintenance and new microservices/API development
- Collaborate with underwriting, claims, and actuarial teams to translate business rules into system logic
- Collaborate with Application Support Team in resolving critical incidents and production issues.
Preferred Domain Knowledge

- Regulatory reporting related to new business & claims (e.g., OJK/AAJI/AAUI reporting if Indonesia-based)

- Able to delegate effectively while remaining hands-on when needed (working tech lead, not purely managerial)

- Strong ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders (underwriters, claims officers, finance team)
- Comfortable presenting project status, risks, and technical recommendations to senior management
- Able to manage expectations with business users when timelines or scope conflict with technical constraints
- Good negotiation skills — balancing business urgency vs. technical feasibility/quality
- Works well cross-functionally with QA, business analysts, infrastructure/DBA, and other tech leads
- Team player attitude — willing to support other modules/domains during crunch periods (e.g., year-end financial closing, regulatory reporting deadlines
Planning & Prioritization

Core Stack
- Delphi 7/ VB.net / C# (legacy core insurance application maintenance & enhancement)
- SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) – ETL, batch data processing, data migration
- Java Spring Boot – microservices / backend API development
- RESTful API design, development & integration (API Gateway experience a plus)
- Angular (front-end web application development)
- Reporting tools – Crystal Reports (report design, RDL/RPT development, parameterized reports)
- System Integration – experience integrating core insurance systems with external parties (banks, payment gateways, regulators/OJK reporting, reinsurance systems, etc.)
Database & Infrastructure
- Strong SQL skills (MS SQL Server preferred, given SSIS/Crystal Reports pairing)
- Understanding of stored procedures, query optimization, and database design
- Familiar with on-premise / hybrid deployment (typical for insurance core systems)
Architecture & Practices
- Understanding of both legacy (Delphi monolith) and modern (Java Spring Boot microservices) architecture
- Experience leading migration/modernization from legacy to modern stack is a strong plus
- Familiar with Git/version control, CI/CD basics
- Understanding of SDLC, Agile/Scrum or hybrid methodology
Certification
- Minimum 7–10 years of IT development experience, with at least 3-4 years in a Tech Lead / Team Lead capacity
- Proven experience in the insurance industry is mandatory or highly preferred (life Insurance)
- Strong understanding of insurance business processes relevant to the assigned domain (see role-specific below)
- Experience leading a development team (code review, task breakdown, mentoring junior/mid developers)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to translate business requirements into technical design
- Good communication skills — able to bridge business stakeholders and technical team
- Experience working directly with business users, underwriters, actuaries, or operations teams is a plus

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
