Job summary

Synpulse seeks a Core Banking Platform Engineer to ensure stability and performance of core banking environments. You will investigate platform issues, support deployments, analyze behavior, and collaborate with client stakeholders across development, test, and production.

The role requires strong Oracle/PLSQL, Linux scripting, and hands‑on experience with OpenShift and Kafka. You will engage with clients during incidents and change/release activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 3–6 years in platform engineering, application operations, or core banking support.
• Strong Oracle/PLSQL and Linux scripting.
• Experience with OpenShift and Kafka.
• API proficiency: REST/HTTP, OAuth2, patterns and observability.
• Clear, professional communication and analytical troubleshooting.
• Able to engage directly with clients in incident/change scenarios.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across services, integrations, background jobs, and database components.
• Perform root‑cause analysis using logs, metrics, and configuration reviews; produce clear findings.
• Support installation, integration, and validation of application changes across environments.
• Monitor platform health and drive preventative actions.
• Build/execute scripts and SQL/PLSQL queries for diagnostics and daily operations.
• Collaborate with engineering, QA, and architecture on releases and readiness.
• Provide timely, professional communication and technical support to client teams.

We are seeking a Core Banking Platform Engineer to ensure the stability, performance, and seamless operations of mission‑critical core banking environments. You will investigate platform issues, support deployments, analyze system behavior, and collaborate closely with client stakeholders across development, test, and production.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
• 3–6 years in platform engineering, application operations, or core banking technical support.
• Strong Oracle and PL/SQL skills; familiarity with Linux and shell scripting.
• Hands‑on experience with OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) (e.g., namespaces, deployments, pods, logs) and Apache Kafka (e.g., topics, consumers/producers, basic ops/monitoring).
• API proficiency: solid understanding of REST/HTTP, authentication/authorization (e.g., OAuth2), request/response patterns, error handling, and API observability.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities with clear, professional communication.
• Comfortable engaging directly with clients in incident and change/release scenarios.
• Plus point: Avaloq experience (environment operations, change installation/integration, platform troubleshooting).
