Job summary

MatchaTalent client in Indonesia seeks a Mining Project Manager to oversee end-to-end greenfield mining projects, from site development to production readiness. The role requires deep experience in large contractor-based operations, fleet optimization, budgeting, and cross-functional leadership.

You'll manage cross-disciplinary teams, coordinate with contractors and senior management, and ensure safety, cost control, and timely delivery within planned budgets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mining Engineering is required.
• POP or POM mining certification is mandatory.
• 8–10 years of mining operations experience with 3–5 years in managerial roles.
• Experience in contractor-based mining environments.
• Experience with greenfield mining projects from land development to production.
• Experience with nickel, copper, gold, bauxite or similar commodities preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder coordination skills.
• Adequate English proficiency for technical communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and execution of greenfield mining projects including roads, jetty, pit development, and site infrastructure.
• Oversee day-to-day mining operations: scheduling, pit development, fleet utilization, and manpower.
• Develop fleet matching strategies and budgets to maximize productivity and cost efficiency.
• Coordinate with contractors, engineering, logistics, and stakeholders for smooth project delivery.
• Monitor performance, milestones, and production progress against timelines.
• Ensure compliance with HSE standards, regulations, and internal procedures.
• Prepare operational and financial reports on production and site productivity.
• Drive continuous improvement in efficiency and contractor management.
