COMMTECH (ASIA) LIMITED is seeking a Commissioning Manager (Mechanical/Electrical Engineer) to lead the delivery of MEP commissioning on Data Center Infrastructure projects, coordinating with client teams and internal stakeholders to meet design, testing, and schedule requirements.

The role emphasizes technical delivery, report compilation, site inspections, and oversight of subordinates, with preference for candidates having 8+ years in MEP and a building services background.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in MEP systems, building services coordination and/or commissioning with multinational exposure.
• Higher Diploma or above in Mechanical / Electrical / Building Services Engineering.
• Good command of written and spoken English; Mandarin is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Technically responsible for delivery of service in accordance with Commtech Asia / Client expectations.
• Manage compilation of technical reports and submission of status reports.
• Commissioning appraisal of design / shop drawings, specifications and documents.
• Undertake progressive site inspections to identify commissioning related concerns.
• Witness and review contractor's testing and commissioning results and confirm compliance.
• Ensure works align with Company procedures / industry codes.
• Oversee and review the works and deliverables produced by subordinates.

Job description

Commissioning Manager (Mechanical/Electrical Engineer)

We are looking for a Commissioning Manager / an Assistant Commissioning Manager with Mechanical (preferable) or Electrical background, to responsible for executing the project delivery of service (Data Center Infrastructure Project).

The role will also entail working alongside a commissioning team(s) at site and shall be responsible in the managing the project progression supporting the delivery teams and working closely with our Clients, in ensuring the expectations, works, procedures and deadlines are met.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Technically responsible for delivery of service in accordance with Commtech Asia / Client expectations

Manage compilation of technical reports and submission of status report, including progress update

Commissioning appraisal of design / shop drawing, specification and documents

Undertake progressive site inspections to identify commissioning related concerns

Witness and review contractor's testing and commissioning results and confirm compliance

Ensure works are carried out aligned with the Company procedures / industry codes

Oversee and review the works and deliverables produced by subordinates.

REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS

At least 8 years' relevant working experience in MEP systems. building services coordination and/or testing & commissioning process with multi-national corporate exposure which 3 years should be at managerial level

Higher Diploma or above in Mechanical / Electrical / Building Services Engineering or related discipline in engineering

Good understanding of the testing & commissioning process, site installation and project management of MEP, preferably in Data Center infrastructure project

Good command of written and spoken English and Mandarin is an advantage

Reliable and proactive working attitude

Self-motivated with good initiatives as a team leader

Good communication / interpersonal and negotiation skills to handle all stakeholders

Immediately available is highly preferable

Candidates with lesser experience will be considered as a Commissioning Engineer.
