Job summary

Abbott, Jakarta-based in Indonesia, seeks a Commercial Finance Supervisor to support the Commercial Finance Manager in driving financial performance, control, and governance. This role oversees monthly financial processes, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and robust reporting across trade spend and distributor activities.

You will collaborate with CCD, Sales, Supply Chain, and Accounting to strengthen financial controls, optimize processes, and deliver timely insights under tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4–5 years of experience in Commercial Finance, FP&A, Financial Controlling, or Finance Business Partnering roles, preferably within FMCG, Consumer Health, Pharmaceutical, or Consumer Goods industries.
• Experience working with SAP or other ERP systems.
• Strong understanding of trade spend management, distributor finance, accrual accounting, forecasting, and month-end closing processes.
• Experience in audit firms (Big 4) will be considered an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain Trade & Ethical Discount Monitoring Reports to track usage of the discount.
• Perform Monthly Actual Commitment Review and ensure alignment with budgets and forecasts.
• Conduct Open PO Reviews for month-end closing purposes, ensuring PO accuracy and closure of unused commitments.
• Execute Monthly OPEX Monitoring, analyze variances, and highlight potential risks/opportunities.
• Perform Monthly Alignment Spend with CCD / Trade Marketing to ensure accurate reporting and provision.
• Maintain overbudget checker tools to strengthen internal control.
• Support Month End Closing activities, ensuring accuracy of accruals, provisions, and reclasses.
• Manage Withholding Tax Slips Aging, following up with the tax team to ensure timely issuance and clearance.
• Distribute Withholding Tax (WHT) Slips to distributors and ensure proper documentation.
• Oversee Trading Term Utilization, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with approved schemes.
• Support monitoring and reporting of E-commerce spend and utilization.
• Work closely with CCD, Sales, and Finance teams to ensure accuracy in trade spend, incentives, and OPEX.
• Coordinate with Accounting and Tax teams for compliance in WHT, accruals, and documentation.
• Identify opportunities to optimize processes, tools, and reporting dashboards.
• Ensure SOPs are updated and followed consistently.
• Support audit requests and ensure proper documentation and financial controls.

The Opportunity

As the Commercial Finance Supervisor, you will support the Commercial Finance Manager in driving financial performance, control, and accountability within the commercial organization.

This role is responsible for overseeing monthly financial processes, ensuring compliance, providing accurate reporting, and strengthening governance related to trade spend, commitments, and distributor-related financial activities. The position requires strong analytical skills, a high level of accuracy, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams including CCD, Sales, Supply Chain, and Accounting.

What You’ll Do

Financial Reporting & Monitoring

• Prepare and maintain Trade & Ethical Discount Monitoring Reports to track usage of the discount.

• Minimum 4-5 years of experience in Commercial Finance, FP&A, Financial Controlling, or Finance Business Partnering roles, preferably within FMCG, Consumer Health, Pharmaceutical, or Consumer Goods industries.
• Experience working with SAP or other ERP systems.
• Strong understanding of trade spend management, distributor finance, accrual accounting, forecasting, and month-end closing processes.
