Job summary

amIT Global Solutions Sdn Bhd is seeking a senior Civil Engineering Manager to lead the development and delivery of civil designs, technical documentation, and standards for infrastructure and building projects.

You will oversee calculations, mentor a multidisciplinary team, ensure quality documentation, and coordinate with stakeholders to align design and execution. A Bachelor's in Civil Engineering and 5+ years of experience (including 2 in management) are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• 5+ years of engineering experience with at least 2 years in a managerial level.
• Proven track record of completing commercial, residential, or industrial projects.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency in construction management administration.
• High integrity is a must.
• Strong data analysis, engineering documentation, and reporting skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint), AutoCAD, and SketchUp.
• Strong coordination and communication with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a structured and detail-oriented manner.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and delivery of civil engineering designs, technical documentation, part specifications, and design standards across infrastructure and building projects.
• Oversee and review detailed engineering calculations, structural analyses, and technical plans.
• Manage, mentor, and grow a multidisciplinary team across departments.
• Conduct trend research and foster innovation in design processes, material selection, and modelling methodologies.
• Ensure accurate documentation, version control, and compliance for all technical changes, engineering drawings, and revisions.
• Evaluate team performance, conduct regular performance reviews, and align goals with company objectives.
• Prepare and manage departmental budgets, resource allocation, and long-term project planning.
• Ensure all designs comply with relevant building codes, safety protocols, and industry standards at every stage of the design and finalization process.
• Coordinate with all stakeholders to ensure alignment on design and execution requirements.
• Supervise the use of civil engineering software tools (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, SAP2000) and ensure team proficiency in technical platforms.
